So, it has been two months since I last posted on this blog. I wonder if anybody even reads it these days. Well, if anybody is still listening, I thought I might give you guys a post for your enjoyment.

Last month, Kara came up and visited for a few weeks and I took her back to Texas at the beginning of march. Shortly after returning from Texas that time, I took the instrument instructor (CFII) checkride at Sporty's and entered into a new realm of flight instruction. This realm involves longer flights, better pay, and at the moment, a guy that reminds me of many LU students.

This guy has no personality or people skills. Its like he is a computer without a politeness program. Make that, an old computer trying to run new software. He's a bright enough student, in fact, he can explain how the instruments work better than some mechanics. However, he constantly worries about the wrong things. Like whether or not he can get on the schedule with me next year. Unfortunately sometimes he gets distracted and makes mistakes because he is busy talking or paying attention to the wrong thing. The best part is that he does not realize he is being annoying or intrusive when he takes up my time after the lesson when I should be with another student. He reminds me of certain students at my former institution that were hewg nerds. You guys should come visit me and observe.

If any of you are wondering how me and Kara are doing, we are doing just fine. No, Todd, we are not going to break up. Kara says, "Step away from man!" We celebrate six months together on April 11th. I never thought I would make this many trips to and from Longview after graduation, but, they're sure a lot more fun than the ones before I met her.

And that is it for now, folks.
