if pizza could tap dance and horses could bark...

then i too would be one of the smug marrieds.

A boy named Al
had a ship captain for a father
he begged to be just like dad
he became an apprentice

A man named Al
had a black flag for an emblem
he ordered the trader boarded
all hands left this world

A pirate named Al
had a dead father for his loot
he fell on his rusty scabbard
a saltwater and blood cocktail

A Love Poem

You're sitting in an empty train station
and I'm stuck behind my desk
We're destined to be together
someday we will meet

In a crowded train station
in a different city and time
I'll be boarding the westbound
our eyes will lock as you disembark

Destiny has been fulfilled
Now we have the rest of forever
to spend foolhardily
on a lifetime of solitude

So lately I've been watching The-N. Its on channel 30 for those LeTourneauites out there. I started watching this channel because I saw that they were playing Daria. So I start watching this channel, and its not half bad. They play different shows with a music video between every show.

Now here is the weird part. As best as I can tell, the channel is primarily for kids 12-17. I was watching one of their 15 second interviews earlier tonight and this girl is wearing a 'Class of 2008' shirt. What's up with that? That's 5 years away, meaning she is only in 8th grade. I don't remember how old I was in 8th grade. To tell the truth, I don't remember that much about 8th grade. I do remember that it has been a long time since I was in 8th grade. I'm now a senior in college and as such am a member of the 'Class of 2004' (hopefully). But, that is my college graduation date. I'm sure she was wearing her high school graduation class date on that shirt. My high school graduation was in 2000. Holy cow, I am 8 years older than her. Not only that, my little brother will graduate (2005) before her. Why am I watching TV intended for middle to high school kids? Maybe I am catching up on what I missed out during my high school years. Maybe I like to laugh at how pathetic high school kids and their 'issues' are. Maybe I'm just extremely bored. Why do I feel so old? I'm only 21. Yet, I went to a concert and I can't help but wonder if 80% of the people there are younger than me. This is no good. DJ is growing up. A couple years from now I'll like be one of those professional, responsible adult people.
