Are human relationships logical? Yes or no? Leave you answer in the comments.

There is nothing logical about relationships.

No real reason. Just an observation I came across while talking to a friend.

I just got back from Kentucky. Friday morning I figured out I was gonna fly home that afternoon. So me, adam (my instructor), adam's wife, and adam's dog all piled into one of the BE-76 Duchi and flew to Lexington. Then we came back Saturday night about 10:30 Longview time. So thats what I did the last couple days. What did you do?

Who needs beer?

The next time I feel like getting drunk or stoned...I only need to visit the Tucker Max site. Some weird crazy stuff, I tell ya.

Time to get nekkid

If I finish my flying quickly, this summer could still be somewhat fun.

311 is going on tour in support of their new album, and they're playing a couple shows close to home. I am somewhat tempted to drive the 12 hours to Omaha to see them in their hometown. I bet I could get DanF to go roadtripping with me. I imagine we'll end up just going to see them at Riverbend.

I found out Isaac is touring the country this summer. Man, I wish I was a freshly graduated high school student with a couple thousand bucks, a jeep, and a sleeping bag. Oh well, maybe when I graduate from college. Yeah, right. I would love to go on tour this summer (or whats left of it) and see the warped tour, 311, gin blossoms, and any other band worth seeing. Maybe head up to new york and visit cbgb's.

I can dream...

Quit playing with my mind

The phone has rung, but twice is not enough. As every president must leave office, I must eventually realize my time is up. Even though Cleveland made it back after his first departure, he still had to leave in the end. Maybe instead of 4 years, I get 4 weeks. Except its more of a lost cause campaign...never a term in office.

Dillon's is no longer porn

I checked the Dillon's website today. It was unblocked. I guess the powers that be decided that soft-core grocery porn is ok.

School is out! Now on to the flying.

I finished summer school today. I'm pretty sure I got decent grades in everything. Now, all of the A&P summer school students are leaving. Besides the married guys from 1A, pretty much everyone I know will be gone. Just me and my pretzel tattoo. Mom and Dad are coming down to visit this weekend. They're supposed to bring me lots of goodies and take back all the stuff I don't need down here. It will be good to see them again. I'm supposed to start flying again, but I really need to practice in the simulator a little before I do that. Still quite a bit of time before I get to go home, but I will have accomplished so much when I finally do. Only 3 more semesters before I finally get out of here.

I want to jump...but I'm afraid I'll fall
The fall isn't what hurts...the heart-stopping end of the fall is what kills
So I stay in my comfy cocoon once more.

Listening to Jimmy Eat World
Wishing I had a girl to sing about
Wishing I could sing
Wishing I was cruising Man O' War, Limestone, and Maple
Wishing I could run Alumni and Commonwealth stadium again...just one more time
Wishing I could make a highlights video of my life and wear it out
Listening to Jimmy Eat World
I wanna fall in love tonight...

Screw you, LetNet!

I am happy to say, that once again, LetNet has protected the innocent. This time, we are protected from the midwest food chain Dillon's. Dillons is a division of the Cincinnati-based Kroger company. The explanation for the block page was "Pornography" and "Adults Only". Big brother has really fucked up this time.

Maybe I have a counter...woohoo.

Sharpie stains are kind of hard to remove from a matress. Anybody with ideas should email me. Looks like I'll be moving to the apartments tomorrow. Lots of fun trying to get all my stuff moved over in my tiny little car. I'm not even sure who I'm rooming with...so that could suck.

Yesterday, I went to dallas. Got to visit Air Salvage of Dallas and American Eurocopter. Both of them really cool places. Check out the websites for more info.

Its been raining ever since yesterday afternoon. The rain is nice, but the dreary day is depressing. If I smoked, the cool damp air would be perfect weather for smoking.

Guess what I did this weekend

Posted by David 7:28 PM
It is 11:44

I am sitting at my desk eating leftovers. I'm really not sure why I'm still up. I have to get up extra early tomorrow.

It is 11:47

I wonder what I should do. I don't want to push. I don't want to pull. I just need to float.

It is 11:49

I know I want to but it gets harder every time. And if it's easier to give up everything, I'd give it all to you to relieve half this pain. I sit there at the bar. I wonder what I've done. Should I just screw it all or should I go back home?

I left campus tonight planning on watching both Dang and Shem get some tattoo work done. A few hours later, we came back, and I'm the only one with ink. Thanks to Shem, I am now the proud owner of a pretzel tattoo. I have a feeling that I am going to look back and regret getting this tattoo, especially since it is spelled PRZTLS. I would also like you guys to take a look at my links list and see that I have added Bredon Clay back. Somehow in the site redesign, Bredon's link disappeared.

Another day another dollar

So I'm sitting here in my room during lunch break. Nothing on TV. I need to print my homework, but that involves a walk to the computer labs. So I'll leave you with this thought.

Does our mood decide our music, or does our music decide our mood?

I was going to write something...but I really don't know what to do write about.

Or at least I'm not sure how to put it into words

So until then...

Emo punk: Fast-paced music about girls played by mushy guys as a means of compensation for their failed love lives
Posted by David 10:28 PM
What does a product of the 90's do when they can't find anything besides creed, staind, and saliva on the radio? He goes to hastings. At least thats what I did today. Some of you who know me also know that I have been known to enjoy the sounds of LBC's Sublime. Sublime was a little trio (usually) made up of Brad Nowell, Eric Wilson, and Bud Gough. Unfortunately, Bradley had a drug overdose right before the band hit it real big. Sublime was no long a group. However, what I didn't know until a week ago, Eric and Bud got together with some friends of Sublime and started the Long Beach Dub Allstars. After putting a couple projects out, the last being on 9-11-2001, the members of LBDA went their own ways. However, Eric got together with Kelly Vargas (another friend of the old band) and started Long Beach Short Bus. Why am I giving you a history lesson on Long Beach dub reggae? Well, I decided to go to hastings to see if I could find any of these new groups projects. Couldn't find any, but I did find some other stuff.

I Found:

We're A Happy Family: A Tribute to the Ramones
Everclear's World of Noise
Rage Against the Machine's Self-titled release (You know, the one with the burning monk)
The Ataris' Blue Skies, Broken Hearts...Next 12 Exits

The Ramones cd was interesting, but only covers of songs I already had. Might have gotten it if I hadn't been on a limited budget, but oh well. Was tempted to get Everclear's first release but I didn't know how much I would like it. I came back here and it turns out its not very much like the everclear we know, but probably some of their best stuff. Oh well, if its still there later and I have six bucks to burn, I'll pick it up. Upon seeing rage's most famous album for only nine dollars, I knew that one way or another I was leaving the store with that album. The Ataris' cd was the last one that I found...almost as I was leaving the store. I had listened to a couple of their other albums and thoroughly enjoyed them. In fact, I even made a post with the lyrics of their song, "That Special Girl" a couple months ago. How could I pass up a cd by the ataris with a name like Blue Skies, Broken Hearts...?
